Sony has announced the full lineup of PS5 and PS4 games hitting PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium this month. A varied selection of titles will be joining the catalogue, starting from 16th April — with the exception of Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, which launches into PS Plus Extra on the 23rd, and Animal Well, launching on 9th May.
Here's how everything will shake out this time:
PS Plus Extra: April 2024
- Dave the Diver (PS5, PS4)
- Oddballers (PS4)
- Construction Simulator (PS5, PS4)
- The Crew 2 (PS4)
- Raji: An Ancient Epic (PS5, PS4)
- The LEGO Ninjago Movie Video Game (PS4)
- Nour: Play with Your Food (PS5, PS4)
- Deliver Us Mars (PS5, PS4)
- LEGO Marvel's Avengers (PS4)
- Miasma Chronicles (PS5)
- Stray Blade (PS5)
- Tales of Kenzera: ZAU (PS5) - Available from 23rd April 2024
- Animal Well (PS5) - Available from 9th May 2024
PS Plus Premium: April 2024
- Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare
- Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire
- MediEvil (PS1 original version)
A varied mix this time, with a slight bent towards indie games. Dave the Diver is obviously a great day-one add, and we can recommend checking out the likes of Nour: Play with Your Food and Deliver Us Mars for some slightly different experiences. As for the retro selection, the latter two were somewhat expected thanks to leaks, but the addition of an Alone in the Dark title is a good one considering the recent remake.
Also announced is that Animal Well will also technically join April's lineup, although it won't be available until the game's launch date, which is 9th May.

Bargain bin selection of games as usual. My sub is running out this month and I can't wait
Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare is nice.
I had it on PS1, my cousin had it on PS2. After spending years playing Resi and Silent Hill during the PS1 days, that game scared the crap out of us.
I wonder how well it's aged.
Also, og MediEvil. That's a nice one for the nostalgia.
Nice, you can pick up MediEvil (PS1 Classic) for 5 bucks on the PS3 store if you don't have Premium. Gets you the PS4/5 versions at no additional cost.
@Blaze215 I mean, not really. There's three unreleased games on the list.
That's a nice selection for me, especially Miasma Chronicles and Deliver us Mars. Will give the two day one additions a try as well.
@get2sammyb Whats the third unreleased game? There's Dave the diver and Tales of Kenzera.
I’m looking forward to Zau and Dave the Diver. Day 1 games are a huge plus for me.
Don’t sleep on Nour, by the way. The game is wonderful if you enjoy the oddball games Sony used to make. It’s definitely something that benefits from being in a sub as it’s sort of an artsy thing rather than a typical game. Try it though. It’s different and honestly, with the current state of the industry, it’s so refreshing to play something that leans into PS1 era weirdness with modern production values.
Great list, although I’ve still got no time to play any of them. Haha.
@UltimateOtaku91 Animal Well.
Glad I held out on deliver us Mars. Will def be adding Dave the diver and tales of Kenzera to the backlog.
@get2sammyb Really don't think @Blaze215 is serious. Well would hope not. 😂
These look to be great games, with 3 day 1 titles also… it’s just that I’m pretty sure most people aren’t gonna feel these justify the price increase.
Really nice seeing 3 day one indies being added to plus. Extra is very good this month while premium is meh
I have wanted to try Construction Simulator since it released but didn’t want to buy something I might potentially hate. With Dave the diver and Zau on top this is an excellent month for me. Ahhh wait a sec I’m doing this wrong sorry everyone…..crap selection, usual rubbish, where is Stella’s Blade?! Sub runs out in 12 months and it can’t come quick enough. Stupid Sony.
Dave the Diver and Deliver us Mars. That'll do nicely for me.
Really interested in animal well, love the vector graphics.
We’re long past the stage to call these bad months. It’s just become a bad service. Might be playing Deliver Us Mars, but that doesn’t make up for it.
At least I’m enjoying the hell out of Demon’s Souls currently. Reminds me about the days this service was actually good.
i'll take Dave the Diver and Deliver Us Mars thankyouverymuch
Weak month this time.
The three day one games and Miasma make this a better month than usual for me.
Yesh. These are all games I haven’t played! I’m ready!
I think ps plus extra is at its best when it brings us hidden gems, indie titles, and sleeper hits. All the other games of course are going to be bought because of the “hype” train, but these indies finally get to see the wide audience they deserve, and being an obscure artist myself, that fuels my soul. Also really looking forward to Star Wars on premium.
@¿@
Don’t even know most of them. Guess I’ll have to look into those. Of the ones I do know I have zero interest. Really think I’ll not renew again.
The thing about PS+ being less about day one releases means I've invariably already bought any games I was interested in.
I realise this isn't the same for everyone but that's the reason I didn't renew when it expired in February.
@get2sammyb look of you're looking forward to 'checks notes' Tales of Kenzera: ZAU and animal well, 2 indie metroidvanias in an already saturated market fair enough. But these games will be bargain bin prices in matter of months
Animal Well and Dave the Diver! Woopwoop
Alone in the Dark and MediEvil here I come
RAJI: An Ancient Epic was quite a surprise to me and very enjoyable game when I played it some time ago. Definitely would recommend it!
Outside of Dave the diver, that is a pretty rough month for extra, usually there is a couple of decent games.
Another month of mediocrity then
Good stuff, but these are all games that are more suitable for on the go. Sony, please finally give us a psplus mobile app, or even better a dedicated handheld device! Make it happen!
The return of Crew 2 (whose PC version is locked for legal purchases and too server-crutched for the proverbial other means) would be the most welcome item here if I hadn't just pulled the trigger on the PS4 version last time it left the sub. Most of the other stuff is available on Switch although Construction Simulator might not be (Deku reports a bunch but I'm not sure what entry is being offered here🤔), and I might even idly dip my toes in the Gen-9-skipping Lego Avengers despite its eventual proper playthrough belonging on Vita.
Excited to see Deliver Us Mars.
I just need to play Deliver Us the Moon now. 😅 I’ve had it in my backlog for a couple years
I also might give Dave the Diver a try and see what all the hype is about. It doesn’t look like my kind of game, but I’m open-minded.
Not to bad at all, dave the diver, deliver us Mars and construct sim all sd interesting ,pretty gd overall
I'm more interested in why the latest firmware update for PS3 deleted half of the games on my storage, as well as my local game saves.
Weird as hell, I had over a 1tb of games on there, and it takes an age to download them.
Oh wow, it is getting worse and worse every month. My sub expired 2 weeks ago and I havent noticed it yet lol
So much complaining. Dave the Diver alone makes this a great month you philistines!
Nothing for me from this selection. I’ll just be focusing on ones I got but haven’t had the time to play.
@RBRTMNZ the psplus essential this month was super weak, but you're right. I always complain when sony releases a bunch of crap games, but Dave the Diver is awesome. I finished it already on the switch, but I may play a bit again on the ps5. Loading times were horrible on the switch, hopefully it's better this time around.
Just gone through a month of starving cmon 😂
There isn’t much here that interests me. I’ll definitely download Dave The Diver and see what all the hype is about. MediEvil is also another game I’ll add to my list.
@Blaze215 thanks for letting us know
I'm not sure Dave the Diver is for me, but might as well give it a shot for no extra cost. Animal Well could be good, too.
I'm really glad I stopped my subscription for a while, last Nov. I've been playing the backlog of games I'd actually bought. The games added to Ps Plus last year were actually really good, to a point, and there all there waiting when I come back. But The quality of games added recently has really declined over the last 4/5 months. I don't feel. I'm missing out at all. I'll resub in a while. If I was a new subscriber I'd be really dissapointed of late though.
@Blaze215 downgraded to essential in February and regret nothing. Not missing out on a thing, Sony is just putzing about with the cash grab tiers. Unless you never buy games on release it’s not worth it.
That being said, Stray Blade is actually quite fun.
Premium is such a huge scam lol
With so many classics under PS brand, it's just sad to see how little effort is put into it
Did not notice at first that Deliver Us Mars was in the list. I like a lot the predecessor, Deliver Us The Moon!! Tales of Kenzera: ZAU and Dave the Diver are interesting too. A more indie list this month, with enticing games!!
Great selection of games and a few day ones. People using the term 'Bargain Bin'......Well that's a highly reductive term, Implying the games are shovelware, which just isn't true, whther you like the games or not.
I can only assume people who log in to write this crap are miserable inside. The state of the comments section on this site gets worse by the day.
The price of a game does not equate to quality.
Excited about Dave
What a joke, a huge piece of s*** compared to Game Pass in which Harold Halibut will be available on the same day of its launch.
Definitely happy w Dave the diver
@__Seraph clearly youre referring to me. My life is going just fine thank you and I'm quite happy. All I'm doing is demanding more from a subscription service that raised it's prices and offered no upgrade to the quality of their games. If we accept whatever we are given and just be happy we won't see an improvement, like we haven't had most months since this service began. I mean come on, medieval is already available to play multiple ways and I'm supposed to be happy it's added to the already bare bones premium tier?
Is it too much to hope for that Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare is the PS2 version?
Removed - unconstructive
@Fritz167 There's still the fact that there are more AND better games in general on PS+ than Game Pass. PS Plus also has tons of titles not available on Game Pass and has also had many day one releases that you seem to either be forgetting or didn't know about. Here you are angry and swearing about one, single, game.
Dave the Diver, Deliver Us Mars, Medieval and Alone In the Dark Great month for me. Where the heck is I gonna find the time for these Plus games and my own purchased huge backlog I'll never know 😅🤔
Dave the Diver is a phenomenal game
Great progression, decent story, quirky in all the right ways.
People moaning.
I'm wondering what exactly are you expecting?
Its either going to be meh or amazing but I've already played them.
Because that's exactly how we all play games. We buy the great ones and don't care about any others and yet we are all different.
I mean the price increase alone for me, in a yearly subscription has basically paid for itself with the games they have offered, not everyone month is my month, but there is always something.
Dave the diver is a blast to play, easy to play, but alot of depth and is hard to master. That alone cost the same amount as the increase in price on pc when I bought it and they are giving it away here plus other games monthly.
Its always the same some people aren't ever happy
Deliver us mars! Groovy. Been hanging on for that. Deliver us the moon was brilliant.
Another turd selection of the month
I already played the game boy color version of alone in the dark on switch though.
@__Seraph
"The state of the comments section on this site gets worse by the day."
You are completely right. I can barely bring myself back to this site now. They spent all last year attracting entitled moaners with their articles here and the editorial direction, and now thats the bulk of the audience.
For the money Im paying, its another reasonable selection for me, but there is little point being positive on Push.
@NinjaNicky I’m not going to defend the price hike but let’s be a bit realistic here. In the uk it went up less then £2 a month. You think because you pay an extra £2 they are suddenly going to put day one AAA games on there. I will admit premium has been pretty rubbish since the beginning but at £100 a year for extra what are you expecting?! What would the service have to give you for you to think you have got good value for £8 a month? Name some games you would have liked to see in April.
Btw there’s absolutely no way you know if at least two of the games are “trash” because they haven’t released yet. If you’re paying for the sub anyway why not just give them a go and see? You might be surprised.
@Titntin got to admit I always roll my eyes at the toxic positivity on Pure Xbox over absolutely everything MS do (Phil Spencer shot a child this morning…YAY XBOX!!) but these monthly articles make me appreciate it more because at least it’s positive. Every month people seem to think that for their £60-£120 a year Sony should be curating a personalised list of games just for them. It’s especially ridiculous on the back of Ubisoft charging the price of a yearly premium subscription just for one Deluxe edition of their games. Like you said just no idea what people are expecting for max £10 a month!
@__Seraph I wish I could like your comment multiple times over, I despair at times mate! For the price (and we are in April) I have already gotten value for money, I mean it is like £10 per month or a bit more if you don't shop around. I would like to see some VR games come to the service though even if it is only the premium tier and 1 per month.
Extra has been on a downward trend ever since the price hike. Its probably my fault for resubscribing to play Death Stranding, but Sony offered me 59% off a year sub.
For what it's worth I really enjoyed Death Stranding!
@NinjaNicky Bigger games like what though? We got Immortals of Aveum on essential this month and no one seemed to like that. Feb extra gave us Outer worlds, tales of arise, NFS Unbound and AC Valhalla but people still complained. If you look at the games over the course of the year rather than individual months you actually get tons of big AAA games they are just never going to be day ones. Sony has stated this numerous times, the best we are going to get for day ones are indies but some of them can be pretty impressive: Stray, Tchia, Humanity, Teardown as examples. Either it’s old AAAs or new-ish Indies, that’s always been the way and it likely always will be the way. The people who get the best value out of Plus extra are the ones who don’t buy games day one, hell I buy most of the games I want day one but I still acknowledge it’s very good value for money and just regret buying the games rather than waiting.
I honestly prefer indie games, working full time and having a family and a social life it's hard to sink in 10 hours a day into a AAA open world game.
@Titntin absolutely spot on, I've noticed this decidedly unfortunate trend myself - people worry about the state of the games industry and it must be soul-destroying for developers and Sony in general to be exposed to this relentless hyperbolic moaning - well, my message is that I love the service and think it's incredible value for money
@Blaze215 "My life is going just fine thank you and I'm quite happy."
If you say so.
Still don’t care if you’re cancelling your subscription, truly could not care less
@__Seraph @Bez87 @breakneck @NinjaNicky @GeeEssEff @Silenos I bought my PS+ Extra subscription at Xmas when it was 30% Off. That works out at £5.83 a month. If I like two games a month & want to play those, I think that's fantastic value for money. 13 Titles where added to Extra and usual 3 where added to Essential. My picks for the month are (Deliver Us Mars & Immortals of Aveum). I am happy with PS+.
@Danbottomburp if you don't care, why mention it then? 🤷🏾♀️
@naruball thank you for taking the time out of your busy fulfilling life to reply to my comment
No thanks, none of the games for me.
@alfsprey why thank you lol
@JalapenoSpiceLife What kind of ridiculous thought process is that part of?
Talking about things you don't care about is vital, like what???
Honestly the human species never fails to astound me, thanks I guess
@kirkn Amen my friend. I renewed extra at full price last month but I bought the credit for it from Cdkeys so got it for about £85. I understand that not everyone is going to be pleased with the games every month but I don’t see how anyone can look at this list and think it’s bad value for money in 2024. A small pizza from my local takeaway costs more than a months PS plus premium…some people just seem to have no financial perspective when it comes to their games.
And all this time I thought I was asking two much:
More than a couple games fit the bill this month, woot
All three Day one games were on my wishlist, great month!
@Almost_Ghostly better games on PS+ than Game Pass? you live in a parallel world.
@Yorozayu no doubt about it, my subscription ends in June.
@Blaze215 you're welcome
